Secure Yacht wins prestigious Dame Award |

NET2 MARINE The system utilises dedicated Net2 Marine software to record the details of all the users and doors on a central control PC. The software sends all the information required to decide on which users are allowed access through controlled doors at predetermined times and / or based on security levels. Distributed Intelligence: Net2 Marine utilises Access Control Units (ACU’s) at every controlled door which store all details of authorised users at the entry point. The ACU records all events locally and also sends this information back to the Central Control PC. This type of system gives autonomy to each ACU and has two major advantages over central computer or central decision making units to make the decision to allow access or not. Speed of Decision Making: As the decision is made locally by the ACU, it is not relying on remote processors that have other tasks to perform or on the speed of a busy data line. System Integrity – No Single Point Of Failure: The ACU’s are low voltage units fitted with back-up batteries. Should there be a failure of the Central PC or the data link between the ACU and the Central PC is interrupted for any reason, the ACU’s will continue to operate the system off-line. Users will not be aware of any breakdown and will be permitted or denied access in the usual way. The ACU’s will then each record up to 2,300 separate events in an on-board buffer until the communications with the Central PC are restored. Events from the ACU’s are then automatically sent to the Central PC to complete the audit trail. A Range of Readers & Customised Faceplates: Net2 Marine allows for a host of varying readers tailored around individual preference. Readers can be standard tokens, key fobs, biometrics, WatchProx – watch worn reader, or the new Net2 Air. System Features:
Dedicated Marine Environment Access Control Reader Secure Yacht introduces the world’s only dedicated marine access control reader. The DAME Award 2007 Winner – The Marine Reader operates by presenting a proximity token (card, key ring token etc,) to the reader which will then allow or deny access through the controlled door. Manufactured in marine grade stainless steel with the option of chrome or gold plating, the reader glows blue in dormant state, flashing green for entry, and red for access denied. The reader operates with Net2 Marine operating software or with other system operating protocols; allowing the reader to be retro fitted to existing systems.
The Marine Reader is simple to mount using three retaining screws to secure the marine grade stainless steel back plate. The reader’s data cable goes through the middle and the reader itself attached by a unique 3 way baton mount.
The ‘Intellex’ Marine Ultra leads a new concept in c.c.t.v. recording. It is an intelligent digital recorder that combines multiplexing, alarm/event detection, recording and more. ‘Intellex’ will simultaneously record multiple cameras, display live video, playback video and archive – all without interrupting recording. Intellex Ultra is a reliable, high performance platform that captures higher resolution, de-interlaced images (4CIF, 240 ips; 2CIF, 480 ips)2 without compromising the capability to record full motion video. Its 3U chassis saves expensive rack space, making it an ideal solution for applications like marine vessels with limited space for security equipment. For ultimate flexibility and security, Intellex Ultra has up to four front-accessible, swappable 3.5 inch hard drive bays which can optionally be used in a RAID 5 configuration. Plus, an industry first, separate, solid-state, embedded system drive means no moving parts to wear out or fail. Intellex ‘Marine Ultra’ gives you months of automatic recording without the need for human intervention. Specification Summary
